Best part... drinking beer and eating bratwurst while playing games all day, and doing the pub crawl thing all night. Ethen Ambrose, huh? Does the Ambrose part come from the author? What happened to Elric!?! You’ve got to do the EssenSpiel thing at least once to believe it… the dealer room itself is four times the size of GenCon’s. By the way, as soon as I can dig it out of my storage space, I have a fairly unique board game I've been planning to give you for a while coming your way... unless you would prefer I keep it until you (three) get back to the states. In keeping with the Catholic tradition, Nicole wanted a saint's name in there somewhere, so it was either Ambrose or Xavier, and she left it up to me. Now, if we have a girl, we are still all over the map on girl names. Did you go to Essen when you were with Pinnacle? I didn't know you went! I still wanna go some time in the future. As for the "unique" board game you have, I'm curious about what it is. That could determine whether I want you to send it now or later. We are going to be back in February, more details on that soon, so if you and Rachel are able to make it up that would be cool. 16-22 February is when we'll be back in MD. Rachel has court for her mom's divorce proceedings one weekend, she has acupuncture training another weekend, on-call one weekend and we're supposed to do the "Night on Charlotte" thing another weekend (that's why I invited you, on the slight chance you could make it back to do that). I'll try to clarify which weekends are which and let you know. Will you be available to hang out for a while if we make it up? ...it's a long drive. I went to EssenSpiel when I was working for Chameleon Eclectic. Charles sent me over there to sell Millennium's End, The Last Crusade (WWII) card game and show off a sample copy of The Babylon Project. All of the products I sold I actually carried over there myself... it was crazy. I also didn't know until I got over there that you could be arrested for displaying a swastika and was a little worried about some of the promotional materials for the card game that showed partial ones. I was hanging out with some British guys over there when I wasn't working who (I'm pretty sure) were professional drinkers, and had us hitting all the local pubs in the evenings. I left them some money (I had to leave a lot earlier than they did) and they picked me up that sweet beer stein you might have seen in one of the old apartments. It was a great experience, and I'd love to go back some time and not be working. It's also on that Mensa list... just let me know if you want me to send it. If so, don't you choose a saint's name for your confirmation name as well? I'm actually, according to the church, Matthew Edward Christopher (patron saint of travellers) Tice. I like Ambrose... it's unique (and old-school). Will you be raising the child Catholic? If so, don’t you choose a saint’s name for your confirmation name as well? I think I'll have to. As for Wadjet, the review and ratings on BGG seem to put it in the lame game pile, but the pieces and stuff look nice at least. It looks like it would be a kind of big and clunky to ship, so don't bother, though if you don't want it I'll take it off your hands when we come back. Sucks that Feb. is packed for you. I am gonna be pretty busy too, and hope that I can get at least one night out with the fellas, especially since it is my birthday while back. If you are up that way, awesome, but it sounds like you'd have a hard time making a special trip, and I am not sure how much it would be worth it for you to hang for one evening/night.
