Happy New Year!
After reinstating my blog, and going on and on I just want to wish everyone a happy new year! I’ll be enjoying it by spending my time with my wife and some friends from work. We plan on stuffing our faces, drinking and playing quite a few board games.
How is everyone else spending their new years eve? However it is, be safe and have a good time!

So sad. Nicole was asleep by 11:00 last night, and I was watching an episode of Farscape on the portable DVD player when midnight rolled around. The only reason I even noticed that was due to the fireworks going off in town, which I barely heard over my earphones. Oh well.
Gaming yesterday was fun even though our friends left a bit early. Two of them were flying to Paris this morning and had not yet packed, so I can’t blame them. Tigris & Euphrates was particularly fun. It was my first time playing it and it is definitely one of those games that will get more play, and thought on strategy. Every move has the possibility of, as Jonathan put it, “…fracturing a kingdom like the Balkans.” Good fun!

I had a similar New Year’s enlightenment: watching the Metalocalypse marathon, heard firecrackers going off, wondered what it was, and then realized it was midnight.

Glad to hear that I am not the only sad, sad person around. At least Nuggs had the decency to down a glass of champagne, or at least hold it up to the TV and take a picture.

Ok Mr. smarty-pants. What were you doing at midnight? Wait, I am almost afraid to hear the answer to that.

I was at a wedding until 1:00 am or so in Lancaster, Pennsyltucky, (see MU Blog for details) then back to the hotel with a bottle of cognac… didn’t get to bed until 3:30 or so.
